Treasure Hunt
The boys had to read the clue and work out where the next clue would be and so on. At the end of it they got the 'treasure'. Which if you were wondering was a BIG box of Cadbury each!

The joys of the web
Okay so I admit once again, it really does not take much to get me excited. But this is exciting!
Every 6 months when the time comes to renew your car tax we all no what it is like. I am sure you can remember my post a few months back where I was hunting for my paperwork?! Anyway, each time the queue in the Post Office is just a joke. We stand there for around an hour just waiting to be served.
Well! No longer!!!!
My Car Tax is due the end of this month and they now accept renewels online. So I tried it! All you need is the reference number from your renewal letter and you are set to go! They check instantly as to whether or not you have insurance and an MOT if required (this is the first time I have ever taxed my car and not needed a MOT!) and then they take payment (Bah!) and your disc arrives within 5 working days!
The whole thing from start to finish was about 5 mins and I didn't even have to get dressed to do it!

Hey! What do you mean I need it? LOL!

Before I go
sorry about the two posts. But as I said previouslyI had a late night last night. I know you are all sitting wondering why.
Okay we watched 'The Exorcism of Emily Rose'.
Has anyone seen it? What did you think? It is based on a true story. Ifound it really freaky and scary and if I ever wake up at 3.00 am and can smell burning just shoot me okay?

Party Time
Today Adam & Lewis had their school Christmas Party.
Adam came home saying he had fun and won 'Musical Bumps'. He was quite proud of himself.
Lewis came out of his class with a big frown on his face saying they had to dance. From his description I am thinking it was musical statues. Then he produces his 'prize' from his bag. I asked him what he won it for and he said 'Nothing. You get a prize even if you lose'.
Tomorrow is the last day at school until next year. The boys are so ready to Santa ~ they are wound up like little springs.
I will end with this. At 9.00 pm tonight Matt went bowling with his friend Matt. He is due home at 10.00. He says he won't be late but I cannot see how he can leave here and be home within an hour. I so hopes he is in on time. I had a late night last night and am tired and want to go to bed. My alarm gets me up at 6.00 each morning *rolling eyes*.
Who wants a guess at whether he is late or not?

Breakfast with Santa
Today we went for 'Breakfast with Santa' at the local garden centre. Everyone got a full English Breakfast and the kids got a gift from Santa.
Here are a few pictures :)
Lewis enjoying his Breakfast :)
Wow!!! It's Santa!
Would you like some Santa?
I am not too keen on that red thing with the white beard. This is much more interesting!

Bravenet & the Spammers
This is a very interesting post ~ or at least I think so!
How many of you have a Guestbook on your site? How many of you have been hit by the SPAM posts? Doesn't this just drive you insane?
Now I have had a Guestbook for years and I have never been hit by SPAM ~ well up until a few days ago. Now I am lucky in the fact that I use Bravenet. So no messages will appear until I approve them. But it is still annoying getting message after message telling you someone has signed your book and the message needs reviewing only to find SPAM!
Now when this started happening I was getting about 20 posts in a 24 hour period. What could I do?
Well SPAMMERS use fake IP addresses so you cannot do anything. But most SPAM isn't written by hand by done via a auto post type thing ~ so a PC somewhere is doing it automatically. Now if you peek at a spam message you will see the comment box is written in HTML. Now Bravenet gives you the ability of turning off HTML enteries. So that would stop it.
But then again I was asked to switch it on a few months ago as people like to leave gifts and calling cards in your Guestbook.
That is where Bravenet really stands out! They have started 'Word Verification'. If you switch this on it mean that anyone who posts has to copy a smnall code into the box ~ just to verify tht they are a person and not a computer somewhere spamming yourbook.
Voila! No more SPAM for MY Guestbook!
And best of all? All of this is FREE!
So if you have a Guestbook I would recommend you switch over to Bravenet NOW! And turn on the Word Verification!

When I grow up...
Here is the conversation I had with Lewis yesterday.
Lewis: I have been thinking...
Mummy: Oh Yes
Lewis: Yes. About what I want to be.
Mummy: What you want to be?
Lewis: Yes. You know. When I all grown up.
Mummy: Oh yes. And what would you like to be?
Lewis: A Daddy
Mummy: I am sure you will make a wonderful Daddy. But what job would you like?
Lewis: Ummmmmmm.........
Pause here for thinking for 5 mins
Lewis: A Police person. Or a cook. Or make houses, you know, build them. Anything like that.

Half Term *Want to Babysit?*
Yep! The boys have this week off of school! Yippeeeeeeeee! So we are hoping to do lots of fun things together. The weather isn't looking to good today so we may do some indoor fun things.
Does anyone want to come and babysit Furry for me? Adam & Lewis really want me to take them to the bargain cinema show. It only cost £1.99 per person and includes and drink and popcorn! But Furry won't sit through a whole movie quietly so unless someone grabs a flight and comes sit with him my poor boys will miss out.
Any takers?

Helping sick kids

Sooooooooo cute! Thought I would share this story.
We were in town and Lewis saw a box of charity mini bears. The idea is you put in £1 and choose a bear. The money goes to CLIC. So Lewis announces that he wants a yellow bear ~ yellow being his favourite colour incsae you were not yet aware of this fact. So he takes one of his pound coins from his pocket and get his yellow bear. Off we go. He asks what the CLIC tag on the side means. I explain that it is a charity for really poorly children. I tell him that he has helped make a poorly child feel better because he gave his £1 and bought a bear. I could see his little mind working as he processed this information. He digs deep into his pocket and gets out his last pound coin. He asks if I can please take him to the Doctors so he can give his other pound to help another sick child feel better.

People make me mad *Grrrrrr*
I am not a happy bunny. My car has about 4 scratches on it from where the horrible kids artound me go out playing around the parked cars. I am sure you remember me saying how my last car got scratched by kids. They played noughts and crosses on it with a stone. *sigh*
Anyway ~ there is a group of kids out there right now playing around the cars aghain. Makes me so mad. There is a big piece of grass for them to play on ~ why play on the car parking area? Well I am fed up wuith my cars getting trashed so I have set up my camcoredr to keep an eye on what is happening out there. Okay ~ I may get arrested for people thinking I am a pervert spying on the kids. If I do will you be my witness...PLEEEEEEEEEEASE?????????

Well Done Lewis!
Today was Lewis's school play. It was about when they were babies. They have been learning about their bodies and how much they have changed. They had to tell us about themselves. Lewis stood up and said in a big, loud and proud voice:
My Name is Lewis. I have 3 brothers. We live in a house'
It was so cute.

Furry Shoes

Christopher lost one of his shoes. So off to the shoe shop we went so that we could buy him a new pair. These are posh shoes complete with flashing lights. He stamps and bangs his feet in order to get his lights flashing. LOL! He loves his new shoes :)

Amanda the Learner
LOL!
Picked up the car on Friday evening. I made DH drive. I was way too scared! So he drove to a quiet car park and jumped out telling me I HAD to drive.
I jump into the drivers seat and move my seat and mirrors. You know what it is like, you press the pedals to check the seat position. Well I floor the gas pedal ~ not realising the engine was running. ROFL! VVVrrrooooooooooooom! Dh is like 'What on earth are you doing?'. LOL!
I drive around the car park, screaming. LOL! The kids are laughing at me ~ DH is like 'You passed your test 15 years ago ~ what is the matter with you'. Well what do men know?
I reversed into a space without any damage. LOL!
It will take some getting used to. My Ford has a really responsive gas pedal. This one is a lot less responsive. But I know I will get used to it.
It has a lot of nice gadgets on it. My Ford only had a drivers airbag. This has drivers and passangers, and two side airbags, and curtain airbags. So in the evnt of a crash I will be cocooned in a bag of air. LOL! And you can switch off the passenger on so a baby seat can go in the front.
So I am liking the new car :)

Empty Packet
I am sitting here, looking at the empty packet of crisps that I just ate. Why did I? I was supposed to be good ages ago. Yet here I am ~ still eating rubbish.
Maybe I should just superglue my mouth shut!

A Day at the Beach!
Spent the day at the beach :) Or at least half the day. It was lovely and sunny ~ but Furry hated the sand. He usually loves it. So he sat on a towel. *Ü*
We had Hotdogs and fries, followed by and Icecream ~ all sat on the sand.
Hurray for the Summer!!!!

Should I get a new car? I am looking at the new Fiesta. It is silver and has all the extras. It is a small car but bigger then mine. My car is so small ~ it has 4 seats. The Fiesta has 5. And a big boot. Or should I say Trunk? LOL!
Or should I get a new leather suite and carpet for my lounge?
WHAT TO DO!!!!!

The Sky is Falling Down
Okay, maybe not ~ but didn't Chicken Licken think it was when an acorn fell on his head?
Now you want to know what fell on my head don't you?
Okay. I was hanging out my washing ~ filled the line lovely when 'SNAP'! The line broke and it and the washing fell on my head.
Wanna picture?

Is that the sun I see?
Yep! The sun is shining brightly! After almost 2 weeks of rain or grey, dull skies the sun has finally returned! Yippee!!!!
The boys have been bathed and we are ready to go and tax my car...if I can remember where I put my documents....Just Kidding *Ü*
We have decided to walk. It isn't too far and I told the boys we would stop in McDonalds on the way so they can have a Happy Meal and a play on the Playstation. Why is it always so much more fun playing on McDonalds Playstation then your own?
Lewis wanted to ride his bike. Ummmm........No Lewis ~ your little legs would ache. His response? No Mummy, I would be peddling like this ~ not walking *doing peddling motions in the air* LOL!

Frantic Hunt
Okay. You can call me anything you want. My car tax expires at midnight tonight. Those that know me well know what that means. A hunt for my M.O.T certificate and my Insurance Certificate. Same thing happens every 6 months. I always lose it.
Well, this time it was worse. The garage that did my last M.O.T lost its licence, so I couldn't just pop in and pick up a replacement. I HAD to find it. Hunt hunt hunt.
Okay. So I will have to book a new M.O.T. Thursday morning is the best anyone can do. So that means Monday - Thursday without my car. Waaaaaah!!!!!!
The attic even gets a hunt through in a desperate attempt to find it. No joy.
Guess what was found just 5 mins ago, hiding down the back of the drawer. Yep! I found it!!!! Yippeeeeeeee!!!!!
I PROMISE to look after all my documents from now on!
