I love MY shoes!

Took Sam to get his feet measured today. He loves his shoes and literally lives in them. I think I will keep them forever because I have never known someone so attached to a pair of shoes before. He wakes up in the morning, grabs his shoes and *asks* (hands you the shoes and wiggles his foot at you) you to put them on him.

He was NOT impressed that he had to take his shoes off in the shop. He had a pouty lip and folded his arms and sighed deeply. When she came out with the new shoes for him to try and he sat shaking his head 'No' and pointing to his old shoes which were laying on the floor. I told him he needed new shoes, so he promptly got down off his seat, walked to the display and picked up a new pair of his old shoes, with a big smile on his face. No Sam. Lets get something a bit more summery :)

So Sam is now the proud owner of some new sandals. Or maybe that should read 'disgusted' instead of proud :P Now to try and get his old shoes off his feet and the new ones on.

Gorgeously cute fireman...

walked to school with me today :P

Okay, so he is just 2 years old and answers to the name of Sam but he really is the cutest fireman you have ever seen.

The weather was terrible. So on went his plastic fireman coat, hood/helmet up and we bravely ventured out. He walked all the way there and back again like a grown up little boy. I have never attempted it before so I was either very brave or very stupid - or maybe a mixture of the two?? But he held onto my hand nicely and didn't complain/try to escape once. What a good boy!

He was back to his usual self when we got home and I was making him his toast. Quicker than a greyhound he swiped the opened jar of marmite and shoved his whole hand in. He pulled it out, totally covered in the brown goo, dripping it off his fingers onto the floor. 'Ewwwwwwwwww' he says and before I could rescue the sticky stuff he rubbed his hand, first down the cupboard door and then all over his jumper and jeans. I stood there not knowing whether to laugh or cry and not to sure what to do with him. Marmite is one VERY sticky substance.

Today is going to a long day...
