Goodbye to 2011...

and looking forward to 2012.

This year has be pretty kind. There have been moment of tough choices but everything ended up okay. Auguest was a particularly touh month, with me hardly sleeping, worrying if I had made the right choice about Furry and his school. All turned out so much easier than I ever could have imagined. I put myself through hell for a month for nothing ;)

Oliver was a cause for a bit of concern too, with me feeling like I had made the wrong choice as we waited, not so patiently, for a school place for him. But all has ended nicely there too with him making a whole bunch of friends and loving school :)

I hope 2012 is a wonderful year for everyone I care about. And I am going to bring my blog back to life so you can share the year with me. Give me a yay!!!

Days 28, 29 & 30

Sorry :( I am a bad blogger!

Today we went for a walk down to Oddicombe beach. It nearly killed me treaking back up that long and winding hill. The wind was icy and I realise how unfit I am.

Okay - so we have Day 26 & 27

First is yesterday. Day 26. Stuck Sam in the bath to keep him quiet because he was whingy & clingy:



and today. He got a mingle and unwrapped it himself :)

Days 25, 26 & 27

squirrel is a lot better now but has passed his germs onto Baby Sam. It is not fun. he was burning hot and so full of cold. His little eyes are all red and his nose is driving him crazy. He struggled to get any sleep last night *yawn*

To top it off he has had a number of accidents. The first one he was showing off - standing up with no hands. That was fine till he started to boggie. Down he went - leaving a nice bruise on his forehead. Within 5 mins he was stood holding on (think he learnt his lesson???) and started boucing - and his bashed his chin on the edge of the table. he has a nice bruise under his chin to match his forehead. This was yesterday. Today he thought he was clever and let go the chair and tried to walk himself to the table. He caught hiS face this time and had a swollen and bleeding lip. That child will send me totally grey I am sure!

So, as you can guess - it is pretty manic here. But I will catch up on my pictures as soon as I can.

Day 24

Beginning of another week. Why do weekend fly by but weeks draaag??? 1 month and it will be half term - so a week off. Can't come soon enough!

Oliver is home from Nursery today as he is still clinging onto the end of his cold. Doubt he will be back tomorrow either. Lewis has a trip to the Zoo tomorrow so a nice fun day for him. I can't remember having lots of trips when I was at school. Kids these days don't know how lucky they are!

Day 23...

Christopher had a great time at the party yesterday :) He was running around, playing with all the kids when I went to pick him up. The only thing he didn't do was get his face painted - but he never has so that isn't a surprise. Here he is as we were leaving :)



My little Squirrel is FULL of cold. He woke early hours of Saturday burning hot. Now he is so snuffly. He looks really rough bless him :(

Another weekend is ending. They just go too fast.

Day 22

Baby Sam was in the car enjoying a sticky iced bun. We went into town and he carried his iced bun firmly in his hand. We got back to the car and he was still holding onto the remains of his bun. By the time we got home he was fast asleep - but he still had the last bit of his bun in his hand. Couldn't help but make this todays pic!!!!



Christopher is off to a birthday party in a min - I will try and have a pic of him for day 23 :)

Day 21

This was like a last minute - quick - I need a pic for today - kind of moment.



What can I share about my day? Hmmmm... Well I met Tracey and we went to Sains. She was really naughty and abandoned 2 hot drinks in the coffee shop. Just left them on the side and walked off. Does the girl have no shame??? ;)

When i picked Oliver up the teacher came To tell me that he choked on his sandwich so she hit him on his back and gave him some water. she said she didn't want him to come saying saying 'my teacher hit me'...lol. She said he said to her 'My sandwich was stuck and you saved me' Bless him.

Christopher has a party on Sunday at the flagship in Paignton. So tomorrow we will be going to find a present for him to take. Haven't a clue what to get. Any ideas?

Well, better go and find something for dinner.

Day 19 & 20

Okay - so this is becoming a habit now. blame Mum. Hee hee. Well I am not really motivated to post and write when I know she struggles to read at the moment. But I am giving a photo a day - even if they are in twos at the moment.

okay - so Day 19 is Oliver after Nursery:



and Day 20 is the contents of the package that arrived today. He is sooooooooooo excited!!!! he has been counting down the days. Now it is not released until tomorrow but we preordered from Game and they aim to deliver on the day of release. Well Royal Mail beat the two day delivery and it arrived today - a day early!!! he got thew collectors edition so get 9 costumes for his 'sackboy'. I have a very happy little boy :)



I will try and post day 21's pic on the correct day. But don't hold your breath!!!!

Day 17...and 18...

Okay - so I have ruined my good record by not posting a pic yesterday. But I am kind of making up for it by putting yesterdays and todays today.

We went Asda bright and early this morning and while we were there we got a new big boy carseat for Sam as he has outgrown his baby one and they also had a bath seat (it is the baby & toddle event) which I just HAD to get. It was £10 and makes life so much easier. I hate bathing him as he LOVES to splish splash and squirms and wriggles and is slippery and...well....it is just a nightmare. So now he has his little seat!!! I tried to get a pic of him in it but he was too busy splashing like crazy so you get him mid splash :)



I think I am doing well at posting a pic each day :) Give me a gold star!

Day 14

Today is Sam doing what he loves to do (watching the washing go round). He is a funny boy!!!!

Fab day!!!!

And yes, I know that Sarcasm is not a good thing but neither was my morning.

It started as I was about to walk out the door. i told Oliver to go get his shoes. He came back with 1 - telling me that was all that was there. He was totally correct. The shoe fairy had come while we slept and STOLE his shoe. I ransacked the house but still no shoe. I am getting rather stressed by now. I mean how can a shoe vanish? So, we left home about 15 mins late, Oliver wearing just 1 shoe. So I had to stop off at Sainsburys to buy him some shoes as he had Nursery. They didn't have any in his size. All they had was a pair of canvas summer shoes. Well I was not in the position to be fussy. So Oliver went off to Nursery in canvas shoes in the pouring rain and to top it of those puddles looked VERY inviting to him. Oh and did I tell you the plastic tag was too thick to snap so it was still attached to the shoe? AND he went into nursery VERY proud of his shoes - showing them to EVERYONE and telling them how 'Mummy just got me these'...

This is another good story. I got an Email from Riveria today. They said they are going to be charging £344 a year for 'tree maintenance'. Huh??? So, Daddy rang them. This is where it gets good. It has nothing to do with the tree in our garden. Every in Chelston got one. It is for grass cutting and tree trimming. So he asked why the council do that and it is part of your council tax. They said they are responsible for certain verges. He asked for a copy of the map that shows every bit of grass they are charging us for. She said we have always technically paid it as it was included in the rent. So he asked if the rent will go down now??? She said No - this is an additional charge. So he said 'You are charging everyone twice then?' and told her they were ripping people off. LOL.

Now Sam has got Olivers vegetable rice and tipped it everywhere. If Mr. T could see my carpet now..... Ha ha ha!!!

Not sure what is funnier - the fact that he let me use him as my photo of the day or the fact that I bought this hat for when I have the pushchair and cant hold an umbrella. Can you picture ME in it - walking to the Nursery?????

Hooray!!!! We have sun!

hasn't it been lovely out there? We took a walk along the seafront/pier and up to the good old pound shop. We stopped off in the arcade where Lewis and Daddy managed to squeeze into the little red bus for a free ride (yes - I do have pics to follow later). As we were walking towards the arcades lots of sirens sped past. As we got near the theatre we saw the ambulances and police parked there and the traffic at a standstill. As we walked past we saw a lady in the road on a strecher with a plastic collar on and surrounded by paramedics. A car was parked on the pavement and the Police were taking statements. Not sure if the car hit the lady. Not pretty to see.

Well, Dancing on Ice starts tonight :) Hope it is as good as it usually is. Sad thing is it means the weekend has come to an end and I will be up early in the morning. Where did those 2 days go???

Not again.....

I only went to Nursery yesterday. I can't go again......

Yep, that is how my morning started. Ummmm.... Yes Oliver - you can and you will. Sorry hunny bunny but you will be starting school in September and Nursery is the best thing to make it easy on you.

He did go off with a smile on his face which was nice. Fingers crossed he will still be smiling when I collect him!

The boys have settled back into school nicely. Not saying they are happy being back but they go off with a smile and come home the same way. So that is good. We will be finding out soon what school Lew will go to in September. That has just happened so fast. It seems like yesterday that he was in Nusery, being a shepherd in his nativity. Where on earth did all those years go???

At the moment it is really peaceful here. Matt is in bed, Add, Lew & Furry are at school, Squirrel is in Nursery and Baby Sam is sleeping. The fire is on and I can hear the rain outside. The only downside is that in about 20 mins I will have to leave to collect Squirrel, so that means waking a sleeping baby and going out in that rain. But I will just sit and enjoy the moment for now.

We took out tree down yesterday. The holidays are now well and truly over - back to school tomorrow. That went waaaaaaaaay too fast and I am NOT ready for the 6am wake up.

Lewis has his hospital appointment on Friday at Exeter for the wiring of his head. That is at 11am so Daddy has the day off. We will drop the kids to school and then go to Exeter with Lew. His appointment should take about an hour so we will be back in plenty of time for school pick up.

Day 2

Day 1 (Happy 2011)

Happy 2011 everyone! Hope is is happy & healthy and full of fun.

I decided against starting a new blog for the 365 project (picture a day) and decided just to post them here. So some days you will just get a picture - other days there will be a picture and a normal post, full of my delightful ramblings :)

So todays picture, day 1, is of Sam. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come. Everytime I put the camera in his direction this is what he did!!!
