Trick or Treat?

Okay. You can have a treat! 2 pictures of Squirrel and 1 of Lewis. How does that sound?

This is sooooooooo cute! Squirrel refuses to look at me when I pick up the camera. Most of the time I am sat there for ages, waiting for him to glance at me (to see if I am still holding that big black thing) so I can quickly snap him. Today though I said 'Look at me Squirrel. I need a picture for my blog' and he looked right at me! Here is the result!

I was like....'Ummmm..... Yes. Okay Squirrel that is very good. But my blog readers will think you are sad. Can't you give me a little smile for them please?'

Then Lewis ran down the stairs to have his picture taken for you all. His lips are still a little dry but MUCH better then before :)

Hello!

Lewis is fine today. His mouth is still sore but he is back to his usual cheeky self!

What terrible weather today. Rain, rain and a little more rain. And sooooooooo cold!! Brrrrrrrr!

I have my second donation today. I got a keyring with my blood group on it. The man next to me had a box (I wanted to ask him to open it as I wanted to know what he got!!!) for donating 75 times! Wow! Seeing you can only donate 3 times a year...well you can do the maths!

I didn't take any pics today (I know I know!!!!) so I will delight you with one taken a few weeks ago of my cute little Furry. Tomorrow is the last day of the pic a day ~ but don't panic! I will still share pictures, just not necessarily every day. And remember! November I will share a video clip once a week ~ so you still have stuff to look forward to!

Oh and I made my first ever custom card today for someone. It was for a little boys first birthday (he shares Oliver's birthday) so I made $20 for that! His Mom was happy with how it turned out so all is good.

All went well.

Lewis was a really brave little boy. He never complained once ~ even when he was feeling really rough. Such a star!

He was only in theatre for about 10 mins ~ and he woke up as happy as you can expect. They offered him a drink, and no sooner had he finished it then he was sick....EVERYWHERE. And that made his 'holes' start to bleed so there was blood EVERYWHERE. He still never complained.

His legs were weak so I offered to carry him in the house but he said 'I will be fine. Just hold my hand please'. Bless him. He was very quiet for a few hours but soon perked up.

I took this pic of him just a moment ago. His mouth is very sore, and his lips are really sore too. He has a scratch by his lip which was obviously done while they were working on him.

The weather hates me...

It was lovely and sunny. A bit cold maybe but the sun was out shining so we decided to have a picnic. No sooner did we sit with our paper plates, food staked high, then the Heavens opened. And it wasn't rain. Oh no! It decied to blast us with hail stones. LMAO! Christopher started to cry, Squirrel looked confused (dot com), Adam ran around laughing, Lewis couldn't care less and I tried to save the food from getting wet! Within half an hour of getting in, dried and changed, the sun came out. And it is STILL out. Bah!

Today's pic wasn't actually from today. And the over bright one (which isn't clickable) was just lightened by me. I did not do anything to the colour of his eyes.

Full House!

No, I am not playing Yathzee! The kids are home from school this week. I saw the sun shining and thought we were in for a lovely day. It was when I went to hang out the washing that I saw the rain (and the rainbow).

Wednesday is Lewis's hospital appt. He will be nil by mouth from the time he goes to bed as his op is at 8 in the morning. I explained all about the 'mask' to him and how it will make him fall asleep ~ and how the next thing he will know will be them saying 'Wake up Lewis'. I told him he can have his duvet and pillow in the lounge and lay and watch whatever he wants when he gets home. I said we will be his 'slaves' for the day. He seemed rather excited about this so I had to point out that I meant 'within reason'. He said 'The first thing I will ask you to do Mummy is give me a massage'. LOL!

Thursday is my next blood donation.

Friday is the last day of October ~ so the photo a day will be over. Now come on, don't cry!!!

Lazy Day...

Not very often do we get to have a lazy day. But the weather isn't great so we are having a 'do nothing much' kind of day. We did go for a little walk and let Squirrel have a good old run around (now he is sleeping!). Here are today's pictures...

35 weeks...

without Nan. It really doesn't sound that long ~ but it sure feels it.

That is is 245 days. Or 5880 hours. 352800 Minutes. We are talking over three hundred and fifty THOUSAND minutes. And each one hurts so bad.

Went to the park

While Lewis & Christopher were at school. Squirrel wouldn't keep still for a moment ~ running off so much energy.

Christopher is on a Level 8 now. I saw Mrs. England today and she asked if Christopher needed any more books. I thanked her but declined the offer, explaining that he is now reading to his teacher and was on a level 7. She was like 'Wow! Level 7?'. Anyway, when I picked him up from school I saw her again. She called me over and said 'I was worried after I spoke to you earlier, as no-one is my class is anywhere near a level 7. So I looked back on the records and saw that at the end of the year in Reception, most kids are just about at, or getting close to, a level 7. She said it made her feel better as she was concerned it was her teaching holding her little ones back. I was like 'He is actually a level 8 now'.....LOL!

Today is the last day of school for a week. Christopher is quite excited about this!

Getting Cold!

Although the days end up nice, the mornings are getting quite chilly ~ so it was coats all round today.

I am sorry the picture isn't very clear. I didn't notice till he was in school that the settings on my camera was wrong. I thought better you have a poor quality picture then no picture at all!

Tonight it is Lewis's 'Spooky Disco' at school ~ so I will have some scary pics to share tomorrow!

My clever boys!

Parents evening went really well! First was Lewis's teacher. She said what a bright little boy he is ~ and how he has read more books then anyone in his class. His handwriting is poor, but that is partly because he is lazy and partly because he is left-handed. His maths is brilliant and she said if he is so clever putting in 50% like he does (tut tut) thathe would be absolutely 'amazing' if he put in 100%. This came for him yesterday too:

We get postcards for Adam from school all the time but Barton never usually sends them out so it was a nice surprise!

Then we went round to Christopher's class. While we waited we looked at his work. It was too cute! There was a picture and the teacher wrote 'Christopher was reluctant to draw a picture but eventually did this. When we asked him what it was he said 'Don't know'. There was lots of photos, and in all of them he looked sad.

She said that he is doing much better. At the beginning she was concerned as if he was stood in one area he would stay there all day unless he was told to move. Now he wanders around happily off his own back. She said he is a fabulous reader and suberb at maths too. She said he doesn't play with other children and prefers to play alone. But she is noticing a big improvement day by day.

So all in all my boys are wonderful (but we all knew that anyway didn't we?!!!)

Lindt Lindor

You know the chocs? The balls that are filled with a creamy, melting choccy? Wrapped in shiny red? Well Lewis LOVES them ~ and he bought himnself one of the tiny boxes for 80p. You get about 5 choccys in there. Squirrel found them....and stole one. But he didn't eat it. He had MUCH more fun with it then that! He spent about half an hour rolling it across the table. He would flick it. He would throw it. He would roll it. And I had to send it back to him the same way. He was giggling so much ~ especially when he threw it and it landed in my hair!

We got our V+ Box today! That is a story itself! Carl's sister joined Virgin Media and was offered a box for £45 (usually £100) so he said he wanted one cheap. He has asked them before but they have always said No. Anyway. He rang them and said how they offered his sister one for £45 and he wanted one for that price too. He gave the whole 'we have been with you for 6 years' and 'you should reward me for loyalty'. LOL! Anyway, they told him they couldn't offer him one any cheaper then the £100. Well I got rathere annoyed at this, so I am yelling in the background 'Ask them how much notice we need to give to cancel our account then'. Carl just laughed and ignored me so I was saying 'Seriously. If they offer a new customer a deal but not one who has been paying them every month for 6 years then we will go to Sky'. The man could hear me and said 'Hang on. I will talk to my manager' and put him on hold. He came back and offered him the V+ Box for £30! You can record 2 channels at the same time ~ while watching a third channel. You can pause & rewind TV shows. And you can get the HD programmes too.

It is parents evening tonight ~ so I have set the V+ Box to record Home & Away and Neighbours (yes I sadly DO watch these!).

What else can I delight you with today? Wel Furry went off happily again. I forgot and rubbed the top of his head as I left. I was like 'Oh! I am sorry! I didn't mean to'.... I looked at his face thinking 'Please don't have tears in your eyes' and he just gave me a cheeky little smile.

He is such a sensitive little thing. He sat and told me yesterday that he hates the word 'Dear' and then started to cry. He said he hates people saying it, or writing it (so if anyone is going to give Christopher a card at Christmas please don't write 'Dear' in it!) as it makes him sad. I asked him why and he said it makes him think of like family and love and stuff and it makes him sad when he is not with us ~ and it makes him sad when he IS with us cause he thinks of when he isn't. You may need to read that twice to try and get it!

Squirrel LOVES the light up Pumpkins at Sainsburys. He always gets excited so today I was a nice Mummy and bought him one. Here it is lit up (he refused to sit with it for the picture)

He is soooooo excited to see him Pumpkin on the screen. Bless him!

BAD Photo...

Yep. Today's picture is a BAD picture. A 'make you mad' picture.

Let me explain a little. My sister has a serious weird freak living next door to her. Really. He is horrible. Most people are scared of him but Ken (my sisters other half) actually stood up for himself when he started swearing, yelling and acting like a total nutcase a few weeks ago. That same day (after Ken ~ totally calm ~ told the raving lunatic to 'P' off) his car was hit by the said lunatics hire car. A little while later Ken found a crack in his windscreen. Now today my Sister found her winscreen like this:

and let me say that her car is parked in his drive, facing the house. Oh ~ and that the lunatic was up on the roof 'working'.

I said I would get the Police involved ~ but Ken says it will make matters worse. I would be fuming. Actually ~ I AM fuming for her. Grrrrrr......

Squirrel is not feeling so well today ~ so he went out in the garden to help Daddy do the fence.

The lens on my camera broke and I was sad. And then somehow I fixed it without even meaning too. I am soooooooooooo clever....LOL!
